Upcoming Shows :
The BOD would like to announce that the IFGA is sanctioning a Goat Show in Brevard County Florida in March of 2011. We are combining our show with 4-H. It's an open Meat Goat Show, for both kids and adults, regardless of registry or 4-H involvement. We are excited about this show.
In 2009 there were over 10,000 attendees, this year there were over 20,000. We expect each year to increase in numbers for people who attend. There is a midway, food vendors and lots of farm animal information in the tent. They have an incubator that hatches chicks throughout the 10 day fair, as well as a brooder and lots of information regarding animal care etc. The chicks are sold during the last day of the fair. The 4-H members have hundreds of beautiful, colorful chickens on display. The tent that houses the animals is clean and well kept. There is a heifer show, as well as a poultry show. In 2011, we will include the Meat Goat Show. Raven's Rest Farm has set up at the fair for the last two years as an exhibition show. The Fainting Goats were a huge hit. People are fascinated with the Fainters and we like promoting the breed. We will be sending out more information regarding the Fair as time goes on. We encourage all of you to consider attending and showing your goats! In Florida, March is still a nice time of year, the humidity has not set in yet. Brevard County is on the East Coast of Florida, 50 miles Southeast of Orlando. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Terri Lenoci.
Thank you and we hope to see you at the fair!
